Krav Works isn't any one particular martial arts school, gym, or fitness center. It isn't a group of buildings. It isn't a club, or social organization. Krav Works is people. It's made up of some of the most talented, intelligent, inspired, honest, and functional Krav Maga instructors and students you will ever, or could ever meet in the D. C. area.

Our goal is to offer you the cutting edge in Krav Maga, combat athletics, fitness, and personal growth, to every type of human body that walks through our door... not just to 20 year old athletes, but to professionals who have to work 45 hour weeks, to women of all ages, to people just looking to get into shape, have fun, and learn self defense.

What is the Israeli Krav Maga Association?
Israeli Krav Maga Association (האגודה לקרב מגע ישראלי): Krav Maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld established the Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA) to promote Krav Maga throughout the world.  After Imi's retirement in 1964 as the Israeli Military's Chief Instructor of Physical Training and Self-Defense, he focused on adapting the Krav Maga system to provide Military, Law Enforcement, Professional Security Agencies, and civilians with solutions to avoid and/or end a violent encounter.

The Israeli Krav Maga Association is the National Governing Body for Krav Maga in the State of Israel.  It works in conjunction with the Wingate National Sports Institute and the Israel Ministry of Education in certifying authentic Krav Maga instructors in Israel and abroad.

Today, the Israeli Krav Maga Association is headed by Imi's top student and co-founder of the Israeli Krav Maga Association, Mr. Haim Gidon.  Haim Gidon is the highest ranking Krav Maga Instructor in the world and is the permanent President of the organization as Imi's appointed successor.

Krav Works is proud and privileged to be affiliated with the Israeli Krav Maga Association and Master Haim Gidon, the world’s leading authority on Krav Maga.

What is Krav Works?
Krav Works is the ONLY Krav Maga school in the Washington, DC area that is recognized and endorsed by the National Governing Body for Krav Maga in the State of Israel and abroad, the Israeli Krav Maga Association, and also by the Wingate National Sports Institute, and the Israel Ministry of Education. 

This places Krav Works in a unique position to provide its students with the most up to date, continuously enhanced training methods coming out of Israel. 

What is “Krav Works University”?
Krav Works University is the cross-training department of Krav Works in which we host various world class Krav Maga instructors from around the world to teach special seminars at our locations.
